About Sue

My Client-First Philosophy

There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional - integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which are hallmarks of how I work.  That said, in my experience as a Triangle real estate professional, I've also found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first. This means keeping myself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to your needs.  In addition, I've found that the latest technologies are enabling me to do everything I've always done, only much more quickly and efficiently. They've also helped me to extend the range of services I provide to my clients.

Personal information on who I am, and where I come from is..... I'm English. I was born in Southampton, England, went to boarding school in England, and attended finishing school in Versailles, France. Later I went on to college at Southampton Technical College.

I have worked for the General Manager of a television station; as a Model, and as an Airline Hostess for TWA where I took military charter flights into Vietnam, and transatlantic flights to Europe. After I married I left the airline business and worked for one of the leading Advertising Agencies in New York, (the one that first created "It's the Real Thing!") Later I moved to upstate New York, where I took a job with Allied Yacht as a Sales and Marketing Specialist, and had a fascinating time assisting customers with their purchase of luxury yachts.

After my time with Allied Yacht, I took a position with IBM, and spent 20 years with them, ending up as part of a management team for a software development group. In 1993, I took early retirement from IBM and moved to North Carolina and studied for my real estate license. For a while I worked for Glaxo Smith Kline (formerly Glaxo Wellcome,) while selling real estate part time, but discovered that my real passion was real estate, and so I took the plunge and went into it full time. Later, in October of 2000 I secured my license as a Broker.

So as you can see, I have lived all over the world, in apartments and houses, farms and condos, but Raleigh is now my home and I have spent a lot of time learning as much as I can about all it has to offer. I do hope you let me show you how I can use my personal experience with various types of homes, my knowledge of relocation issues, and my experience in the Raleigh area to help you buy or sell your home. I would love to hear from you. Call me at my office, or email me to tell me how I can help you!
